    * Please apply online at www.6dogrees.com by doing so you will get a response quicker. Meet Sailor! I am a 1-year old Papillion/Spaniel mix and 11-pounds of love! I am neutered, current on all vaccinations, and ready to begin a new life. My adoption fee is $595. I am a very happy boy, the absolute best foot warmer, love to sit on your lap, and play chase with other dogs. I am the sweetest little pup you will ever meet. I am crate trained, a good sleeper, a good eater, and love to make my people smile. 6dogrees Rescue rescued me from a homeless camp in Seattle, and I was not being treated nicely. Because of that, I am cautious ... (Read More)meeting men and it takes me time to warm up. Once I am comfortable, I am your loyal trusted friend. I am entertaining and will put a smile on your face. I like to follow my people around like a shadow, and snuggle next to you in the evening. I know my name, and run fasts to you when you call me. I am a very good boy! I would prefer to have a home with another dog that likes to play, or a home that could give me lots of love and attention . Daily walks and play-time is important to keep me entertained and engaged. As I am still a young dog, I should attend puppy classes with you. This will create a bond for us, and also ensure that I have manners to make you proud. I will require a fully fenced yard so that I do not run away. I am curious, and this is all new to me. Fences help protect me and establish boundaries. I am being fostered with dogs my size, and would love a home that has a dog that needs a friend - this will ensure that I have enough exercise to burn off my excessive energy. I will need a grain-free diet to keep me healthy and my coat beautiful. I have a soft long coat that will need to be brushed, and grooming every 6 to 8 weeks to keep me adorable. I am pretty much a 'wash and wear' dog. Sailor is a rescue dog, and rescue dogs require routine and stability. Please be prepared for a lifelong commitment before applying. Ideally, Sailor should be pottied every 4 to 5 hours. Dogs cannot be left alone for 8 hours per day. Home check and plan must be carefully thought out and presented at time of interview. Applications accepted online at 6dogrees.com. The adoption fee is $595. My adoption fee will go to save other dogs at the high-kill shelters in California and is fully tax deduction (my Rescue, 6dogrees Rescue is a 501c3), and will provide a donation receipt. I am fostered North of Seattle, and if interested please submit an online adoption application at www.6dogrees.com and we will review and get back to you promptly. An adoption application must be filled out for all inquiries and prior to a meet and greet. We will review and respond to applications, not all applications will necessarily be approved for a meet and greet. Home check prior to adoption approval. Adoption fee include: Neuter or spay, microchip, current vaccines (DA2PP, rabies, bordatella) de-worming, flea treatment, and heart worm testing. We also include a 15 minute training consultation with a certified behaviorist trainer and 30-day pet insurance. 6dogrees Rescue is a small passionate Seattle based 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that focuses on saving the lives of urgent dogs on their last hours at high kill shelters from the state of California where pet overpopulation is at epidemic levels and kill shelters are the norm. 100% of all fees collected are spent on the dogs, we 'Save it forward'; so each time a dog is adopted we are allowed to save another. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and are in place to allow thorough care for the dogs. 6dogrees adoptions are limited to residents of Washington State. (Less)
